Why we exist

To create a space for artists and community groups in South Philly that fosters experimentation, low-stakes gathering, mutual aid, and radical thought without financial barriers.

"Flashpoint is a starting place, where things can combust into something new and exciting."
What we do
01

Outsider Art

We show work by artists traditionally excluded because of their artistic focus, identity, or message.

02

No Barriers

Free to enter, free to participate. Financial access is a non-negotiable part of how we operate.

03

Community-Led

Artists host events to engage the public in their work — not just shows, but drop-ins, workshops, and low-stakes gatherings.

The Space

Gallery

Rotating exhibitions by artists who've been overlooked, excluded, or told their work is too radical, too personal, or too political.

Living Room

A free, non-commercial third space. Come sit, stay a while. We have board games, art supplies, coffee, and good company.

Shop

Books, records, zines, and work by Philadelphia artists — all sourced locally and priced to be accessible.

Free Table

Harm reduction supplies, zines, condoms, stickers, and other community-enriching goodies. Always free. No questions asked.
